TEN FORMS OF HYALURONIC ACID: Most gel creams use one or two. This centella cream carries ten: hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, hydrolyzed sodium hyaluronate, dimethylsilanol hyaluronate, hyaluronic acid, sodium hyaluronate, potassium hyaluronate, hydroxypropyltrimonium hyaluronate, sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer, sodium hyaluronate dimethylsilanol, and sodium acetylated hyaluronate. Count them on the ingredient panel.
-
SOOTHING COOLER EX - FIVE BOTANICALS, NOT MENTHOL: Aloe, kelp, yam root, elm root, and violet make up the cooling complex, and the gel registers as cool going on. Peppermint and apple mint leaf extracts add to the fresh feel. If mint or tea tree bothers your skin, patch test first.
-
A WATER-GEL BUILT TO LAYER UNDER SPF AND MAKEUP: The most common complaint about gel creams is pilling under sunscreen or foundation. Apply a thin layer, let it set, then go in with the next step. The finish is light and non-greasy rather than rich and heavy, which suits humid weather and combination skin.
-
NIACINAMIDE SIXTH, SIX PEPTIDES, CENTELLA AND 13 MORE BOTANICALS: Niacinamide sits sixth on the list, above the extracts. Centella asiatica comes with all four of its studied compounds, and 13 more botanicals follow: tea tree in three forms, houttuynia, rosemary, sage, and the five in the cooling complex. Six peptides, panthenol, and ceramide NP help skin look smoother and more supple.
