This is a watery milky serum that spreads well and doesn't dry out too fast. I was trying to use tretinoin (a high strength retionoid) on my neck but it started to get irritated.
This has retinol which is less strong but still an effective anti aging ingredient. Bakuchoil is a natural retionol alternative, and so far it's working great. I haven't had any irritation on the night of use or the next day. My neck is smooth and really soft the day after using this. My fine lines are less noticeable.

I've been using a tranex/Vit C toner from this line so thought I'd try this serum. Bakuchiol is a natural, plant-based alternative to synthetic Vitamin A, aka retinol or retinoid. I've been using retinAl (notice the "A"), not retinol, for a number of months and my skin seems to tolerate it, but I wanted to incorporate this serum in my morning routine to see if I notice any positive results. The serum is on the thicker side and takes awhile to set in/absorb. Once absorbed and sunscreen is applied my makeup goes on fine with no pilling, which is a plus. No irritation using 3-4 times per week. There is a strong scent, which I really dislike in any skincare product, but its tolerable and as long as there is no irritation, won't stop me from using it. Have only been using for a month so too soon to tell long-term what results I can achieve with this serum, but so far, it's been a very nice addition to my morning routine.
